<p>For her first meal of the day, Kourtney sips an <a href="https://poosh.com/how-to-make-an-avocado-shake/">avocado smoothie</a>, combining a whole avocado, one cup of organic plant-based milk, one scoop of vanilla protein powder, and ¼ teaspoon of MCT oil.</p>
<p>While the recipe typically includes manuka honey, when she&#8217;s on keto, Kourtney says, &#8220;I&#8217;ll swap that for a couple drops of Stevia. I&#8217;ll still mix in my MCT oil, bone broth powder, and blue-green algae.&#8221;</p>

<p>To fill up midday, Kourtney says she typically enjoys a salad. &#8220;My go-to for lunch is usually a protein-based chef salad with turkey, a base of mixed greens, and egg whites,&#8221; says the star.</p>

<p>For her final meal of the day, Kourtney says she&#8217;ll &#8220;usually eat chicken or salmon&#8221; atop some broccoli rice or cauliflower rice.</p>
<p>&#8220;Even though they&#8217;re made entirely from shredded veggies, they kind of trick my brain and make me feel like I&#8217;m eating some carbs,&#8221; she explains.</p>

<p>When Kourtney&#8217;s adhering to a keto diet, she says she typically doesn&#8217;t snack at all, opting for bone broth or green tea when she needs some extra energy.</p>
<p>If she does give in and have something to eat between meals, she sticks to &#8220;walnuts or pecans.&#8221;</p>

<p>In addition to strictly limiting her carbs, Kourtney incorporates intermittent fasting into her eating routine when she&#8217;s sticking to a keto diet.</p>
<p>&#8220;For me, this meant not eating for 14 to 16 hours after dinner. I wouldn&#8217;t eat past 7 p.m. at night and then I would wait to eat the next day until after my morning workout, which would be around 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.,&#8221; explains the star, who also incorporates one full-day fast into her weekly routine when doing keto.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s not just her diet that&#8217;s helped La La achieve her fit figure—she admits that she&#8217;s had help getting into shape from trainer <strong>Kirk Meyers</strong>, founder of The Dogpound, where celebs like <strong>Addison Rae</strong>, <strong>Kaia Gerber</strong>, and <strong>Noah Centineo</strong> also work out.</p>
<p>&#8220;I come here almost every single day and Kirk, the owner, has become one of my closest friends and a real inspiration in my life for getting myself together and focusing on myself,&#8221; she told <em>E!</em> &#8220;I <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/869038/la-la-anthony-opens-up-about-her-workout-routine-s-therapeutic-impact">definitely have lost weight</a>. I definitely feel better about myself, more toned, have more energy.&#8221; In addition to Myers&#8217; weight-based workouts, La La told <a href="https://hollywoodlife.com/2017/08/17/la-la-anthony-workout-routine-diet-plan-beauty-products-interview/"><em>HollywoodLife</em></a>, &#8220;I love to box.&#8221;</p>

<p>While La La has admitted in the past that milk chocolate is her &#8220;biggest weakness,&#8221; she says she&#8217;s been able to tame her cravings with healthier alternatives.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve found other things that taste healthy, like dark chocolate. After a while, you train your taste buds to not want it as much,&#8221; she told the <a href="https://nypost.com/2013/03/31/life-in-the-fast-lane/"><em>New York Post</em></a>.</p>

<p>Despite her busy schedule, La La has made self-care a priority amid the pandemic.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m that person that&#8217;s there for everybody all the time and I&#8217;m stretched so many different ways,&#8221; she explained during a 2020 episode of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAufPsc_Vt8"><em>Girlfriends Check In</em></a>. &#8220;I just feel like there&#8217;s not always a lot left over for me, so that&#8217;s something I&#8217;m trying to work on and not feel guilty about it.&#8221;</p>
<p>However, she said that giving herself some much-needed &#8220;me time&#8221; in small doses has been a major benefit to her overall wellbeing.</p>
<p>&#8220;Once you start doing it, you realize that you have to find ways to recharge and rejuvenate—even if it&#8217;s just taking five minutes to meditate,&#8221; she told <a href="https://www.health.com/celebrities/la-la-anthony"><em>Health</em></a> in April 2021.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><strong>Grain Free Protein Boost</strong></p>
<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"> When I have a long flight or drive ahead, I like a light meal that will make me feel satiated for a long time. I don’t know about you but I can’t eat heavy meals before sitting on a plane for hours. The Super Greens are my favorite new menu item at Panda Express. With just 45 calories and zero grams of saturated fat, this yummy side dish with broccoli, kale, and cabbage makes every bowl a super bowl. To make it a nutritious meal I pair a side of super greens with the Shanghai Angus Steak. The bowl only has 310 calories and 19 grams of protein! This is guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied and full for a long trip. </p>
<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><strong>Protein Power Boost</strong></p>
<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">While traveling is a big part of summer, many of us are still working much of the time. When I am at home in Los Angeles, I try to get a quick workout done on most days. When I exercise, I try to eat more protein to help me replenish and build muscle. However, with a busy schedule, I don’t always have time to make something at home. On days like this, I like combining my favorite Super Greens from Panda, with half a serving of brown rice, and the Broccoli Beef. This combo has 382 calories, with 15 grams of protein and 5.5 grams fiber! I love this bowl because even though it is higher in calories, it still only has 1.5 grams of saturated fat and tons of fiber, which most people don’t get enough of.</p>
<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><strong>Plant Based Power</strong></p>
<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"> I recommend having some meatless meals every week. This is a great way to get variety and plenty of fiber into your diet. Eating more plants is not as hard as it seems. My favorite veggie Panda Express bowl consists of the Super Greens combined with the Eggplant Tofu . This combo has 6 grams of fiber and 10 grams of plant based protein! All this with only 385 calories. On busy days or when I feel like I need more substance, I like adding ½ serving of brown rice to this combo, which leaves me satiated for hours. This combination gets you almost half of your recommended veggie servings for the day plus some of the great benefits of eggplant, which include powerful antioxidants called anthocyanins plus fiber.</p>
