A new study reveals that within 30 days of undergoing one increasingly typical weight loss method, men are dying at significantly higher rates than women are. Here&#8217;s a new reason it can be so important to get your nutrition in check before your health spins out of control.</p>
<p>Most nutrition and medical professionals might suggest that lifestyle changes like a leaner diet and more exercise can be the healthiest way to lose weight. In other cases, for individuals who need to take the bariatric surgery route to shed pounds, authors of a new study recommend that patients should be consciously proactive about when they have the procedure done.</p>

<p>At this week&#8217;s Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, lead author <a rel="noopener noreferrer external nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/929490">Hannes Beiglböck, M.D.</a> from the Medical University of Vienna in Austria, presented findings from a recent review of 10 years&#8217; worth of studies that included over 19,000 bariatric surgery patients.</p>
<p>As a press release states, Beiglböck&#8217;s study concluded: &#8220;Men who undergo bariatric (obesity) surgery are five times as likely to die within 30 days of the procedure compared to women, and their long-term mortality is almost three times higher.&#8221;</p>
<p><a rel="noopener noreferrer external nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.studyfinds.org/men-risk-dying-weight-loss-surgery/"><em>Study Finds</em></a> suggests this is due to the fact that men wait until they&#8217;re older to seek the surgery. The source explains that in many cases, by the time they do, they already have cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, or Type 2 diabetes, which may contribute to this higher death rate among men.</p>
<p>Women, on the other hand, &#8220;seem more willing to look at surgical weight loss earlier in life, whereas men tend to wait until they have more comorbidities,&#8221; Beiglböck said. (Psychiatric disorders were also a comorbidity for both genders, while for women, cancers were 9% more prevalent among women who expired after surgery.)</p>
<p>We should note that this study doesn&#8217;t necessarily call for total alarmism over bariatric surgery, as it can indeed be helpful for many patients. To be specific, the researchers cited hopeful insights based on the data they reviewed: &#8220;Between January 2010 and April 2020, less than 2% of bariatric surgery patients died,&#8221; they reported.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You may, for example, notice that your vibe with others changes depending on how your interaction works out. If you’ve ever been given the stink-eye by someone particularly angry at you, then you know how this feels: it’s awful, and can truly put a damper on your day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the other hand, if you’ve ever been waved at by someone positive at work, then you also know how positive their impact is on you. It’s not much in the grand scheme of things, but just the happy smile of a jolly colleague can truly help you out with your personal problems.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thus, the value of vibrations cannot be understated. With positive vibes, you can influence not only yourself, but even the people around you to be better and to feel better.</span></p>

This results in you being less inclined to actually think positively, since your stress and anger are slowly warping your judgment. Now, this doesn’t mean you can just be silent whenever you want, but if there is time for it, seize it by being silent and thoroughly meditating. You can either meditate in complete quietness, or you can argue within your own mind about your next moves in the future.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Once you have mastered the art of silence and quiet, you will be able to emit positive vibes simply by having a positive mindset. No longer will you feel the external pressure of society, and people will look at you in a more favorable way, knowing that you are being silent for authenticity sake.</span></p>

For example, you might not be willing to entertain romances at the moment due to your past pain.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And while you are completely justified in being completely angry and hurt over what happened then, know that it might not be a good idea to hold on to that anger for too long. This is because your pain can only spread to others, and you might not be inclined to treat them well.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This then causes a terrible spread of negative vibes. At work, this can hurt your ability to socialize and work together with teammates. On a personal level, it prevents you from appreciating the present and future alike, taking the fun out of life and making you feel endlessly miserable.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thus, it is easy to understand why forgiving a past does so much for your vibes. It forces a change inward, which then makes you better.</span></p>
<h2><b>#4: Give yourself some love</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is perhaps the most important thing you can do for yourself. When you underestimate your true potential or do not give yourself enough credit, it weakens your ability to show your potential in front of other people. Suffice it to say, the most effective way to increase your vibrancy is to project it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To project that same vibrancy therefore means that you have to believe in yourself. It is easy enough to hate yourself and not be confident, and it is easier to do so still because people have a false notion that being confident means being selfish or proud. However, this is actually just negativity at its finest.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In order to truly be positive, you have to believe in yourself and be confident in what you can do. It may seem difficult at first, but when you get the hang of it, you will start seeing changes. Further still, it will make you better at what you do and project that betterness to your colleagues and friends.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thus, you won’t be improving alone; you will be sending positivity to other people as well.</span></p>
