We depend on people like us. </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“he will get it done for me, she will get it done for me”.</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You rely heavily on people and guess what, you are making a big mistake. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There are a lot of people that have helped others and perhaps time changes for them, they become poor and rely on the people they have helped, guess what comes out at the end of this reliance? Disappointment, promises backed by failures, etc. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Who are you depending on? Who is that person you can’t do without when getting things in your life done? If there is anyone, you are making a big mistake. And starting today, all you have to do is add a prefix – </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">what if!</span></i></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">What if my friend stops helping me, what if I get disappointed by people I trust with my life, what if they neglect me and turn me down”.</span></i></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A man or woman that depends on people like him is equal to a feeble pillar holding the four corners of a house. What happens when the feeble pillar falls? The man’s house falls down super-flat. Your trust should only be in Jesus. Man can fail us at any time but God is always faithful till his Kingdom comes. </span></p>
<h2><b>2. Love your neighbor as yourself </b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The gravity of this word is enough to shatter the whole earth into pieces. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Only if the whole world just kept this simple commandment Christ Jesus gave then, there will be no murders, poverty, greediness, anger, envy, betrayal, disappointment, etc. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Why are there such things in the world? Because we hate ourselves. As long as you are fine all is well. You care about yourself only, selfish, you have and yet you cannot give. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Those are the characteristics of over 90% of the 7.6 billion humans on earth. Why can’t you do to others what you would have them do to you? Why can’t you help that suffering neighbor who needs food? Then, a lot of people will say </span></p>
<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Go away from here beggar, what did you do with your youth, I can’t give you a dime, beggar”. Why are we so cruel? This is the best tip you must dear to your heart. </span></i></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">No matter what you have, no matter how little or in whatever way you can help. Help people, show them love, love them as you love yourself. Don’t forget this, today’s beggar, uneducated, debtor, poor person, etc can later become the greatest person in the world tomorrow. </span></p>

<h2><strong>3. Have a growth mindset</strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">growth mindset</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is what makes one successful and go far in life. However, a fixed and stagnated mindset throws one into jeopardy of life.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A lot of people have a </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">fixed mindset</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, what they believe is what they believe, nothing you say on earth can change their mindset, they are the most educated in the world so they don’t need to learn any further. Did you have a fixed or growth mindset?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A growth mindset leads to success, achievements, happiness, learning more, and becoming better. On the other hand, a fixed mindset leads to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">complacency</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, pride, lack of achievement, ignorance, the stagnancy of the mind, etc. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s see an example of someone with a fixed mindset:</span></p>
<p><b>Cait tells Alice:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Alice stop being so proud it’s annoying. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And Alice responds:</span></p>
<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“How dare you say I am proud, I am not. I am the most humble woman on earth”. </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the example, Alice with a fixed mindset has a fixed mindset. However, what she does not know is that she is in the darkness of her ignorance. She is ignorant of the fact that she is a proud person thus, she can’t see it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">People with a fixed mindset are ignorant. You must never have a fixed mindset. Always be willing to learn and to grow with humility. Pride can take you nowhere. </span></p>
<h2><strong>4. Forgive everyone and give as many second chances as you can  </strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A lot of people have done all they could to be happy and have peace. But, they find out that happiness is not just there and that peace of mind is absent. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Why is that? It is because you have a lot of grudge against people that have offended you. Yes, we know, it pained you to your heart, and what next? Keep malice? But, do you know what that unforgiveness does to you?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I call it </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">the seed of unforgiveness</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> because it plants a seed in your heart and this seed further grows to become hatred, depression, lack of freedom, zero peace, etc. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If in only one person’s heart are all these things, then a person like that can never know peace and happiness. For example, if you were to go to a party with your friends and you hear that perhaps the other friend that you keep malice with is coming to the same party. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Naturally, the only thing you would think of is not going to the party anymore because you want to avoid the person at all costs. And what does that add to you? It doesn’t add instead, it subtracts from your life because you could have gone to the party, had fun, and even have new friends or even new opportunities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If not for anything will you </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">forgive people</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, forgive them for the sake of God, for the sake of Christ Jesus. Because if you cannot forget the trespass of people, don’t expect God to forgive you. Forgive everyone, give them as many second chances as possible. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mind you, they can still mess up and make terrible mistakes all you have to do is keep forgiving them. This may not be so easy to the flesh. However, it is only The Spirit of God that can make you forgive the trespass of people. Without The Holy Spirit, it is impossible to do so. </span></p>
<h2><b>5. Love God</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do you love God? Are you a child of God? Do you believe in Christ Jesus? Even if the rest of the tips on these lists do not resonate with you, I want you to hold this very important to your heart which is to Love God with all your heart, soul, and strength.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And you can do that only by being a child of God. This life is too short. It is like a vapor, it is nothing. Life is more like an empty barrel that makes noise. You will grow old, your strength will leave you and you will die but, what happens after that? Where are you going to spend the rest of your eternity? </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of the greatest powers we have is the ability to have thoughts. Yes, sometimes those thoughts become negative or detrimental and they don’t serve us, but sometimes those thoughts are empowering and can take us anywhere. But have you ever asked yourself where your thoughts come from?</span><span id="more-53494"/></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Most of our thoughts are self-created; in other words, they come from us. We can learn something or hear something or see something, but everything that happens after that is created by you. Why that’s so important to understand is because your thoughts are your greatest superpowers, and you have the ability to make them your trusted advisors instead of your biggest critics.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you are the author of most of your thoughts, that gives you the power to create ones that serve you…if you choose to. Thoughts are choices, and the choices we make determine how we feel, how we sound, what we pursue in life, what we don’t pursue in life, whether we’re healthy, whether we’re not healthy, and whether we give certain things a try or never try them. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Those choices are the key ingredients to our self-confidence, our self-esteem, and our self-worth. Other people don’t create any of those things for us. Ever! We create it all, and if your life isn’t where you would like it to be, you can begin making it different by using that superpower in ways that serve you.</span></p>
<h4><b>Start with self-awareness</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Example #1:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do you have thoughts in your head that are contrary to what people have told you over the years? For example, maybe you’re a good artist and people have told you over the years you’re a really good painter or that you draw so well. But when they say, “You’re a really good artist,” your response is always, “Really? You think so?” or “No, I’m not that good.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What you’re thinking or choosing to believe is the exact opposite of what everyone else is telling you. That’s a problem. If you hear multiple people telling you that you are good at something (especially when they don’t have to), begin to believe them instead of your dismissive thoughts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Example #2:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do you have thoughts in your head about something someone said to you one time, years ago, that you’ve spent the last several years telling yourself over and over and over? For example, maybe you were at a business event and you tripped and a coworker said, “You’re such a klutz.” From that day forward, you became extra super careful because you were so embarrassed by tripping that you took on that one thing that one coworker said in a moment when maybe it was true for a second, but you’ve been so careful and cautious since because you constantly are reminding yourself, “Don’t be a  klutz. Don’t fall down or trip. Don’t embarrass yourself.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It was a one-time event that you could have laughed off in the moment and said, “Yep, the gravity is really strong right there!” Chances are, it would have been forgotten by all as soon as the conversation went to the next topic. Instead, it was a choice to take on the identity of a klutz for years after the event, and that has continued to affect your behavior, making you uncomfortable in business situations.</span></p>

<h4><b>The first step to using this superpower is to take out your head-trash</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sit down and do a thought inventory. Just like you would do in a warehouse full of crap, it’s time to declutter your thoughts. Beginning today, really start paying attention to your thoughts. Which ones are reoccurring? Write them down and make a list. As you start to notice the thoughts that come into your head regularly, ask yourself, “Where did those thoughts come from?”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As you discover thoughts during your excavation that are completely made up and have zero validity, purge them. How do you do that? Use these two tools:</span></p>
<h2><b>Tool #1 – Acknowledge it’s not real.</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Say to yourself out loud, “That’s a ridiculous thought, because it’s not true!”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Simply acknowledge to yourself that it’s not real; it’s completely made up and a lie. Remind yourself that the reason you have that thought over and over is because you’ve created a habit. The more you say to yourself, “That’s not true,” when the thought pops up, the quicker it fades away because you’ve replaced it with something that stops it in its tracks.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That doesn’t mean you have to get all Pollyanna about your life, but rather to become more balanced with your thoughts. Chances are, if you’re a negative self-talker or a negative thinker, you never give yourself the whole story; you only give yourself half the story. I call this the ‘partly cloudy, partly sunny approach.’ When a weather forecaster says it’s going to be partly cloudy, she is also saying it’s going to be partly sunny because, in order for one or the other to happen, both have to be present! If you’re a pessimist or a negative thinker, you will always be looking at the partly cloudy side of everything (“yeah, but…”) and you will miss the fact that it’s also partly sunny.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">People who are extreme positive thinkers have the same problem, as they only choose to see everything as partly sunny and miss the partly cloudy, which sometimes includes challenges that need to be faced. But negative thinking is often more detrimental than positive thinking is, so we’ll stick to the topic at hand. You’re allowed to continue choosing to look at partly cloudy, however get in the habit of also seeing the partly sunny side. If you only have half the story, you don’t have the story.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This simply means that every time you complain about something or think ‘that can’t happen,’ flip to the other side and see the whole picture by thinking, ‘If it could happen, what would that look like?’ or ‘Maybe it can’t, but maybe it can.’ </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Give yourself a chance to see the possibilities or the other side of the negative thought you’re having, because it’s always there! There’s always another side. Using this tool will help you to get out of the negative-thinking hole a lot faster.</span></p>
<h4><strong>You are the author of your thoughts.</strong></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Just because you have a thought doesn’t mean you have to listen to it or believe it. Which ones you choose to listen to and believe is your choice. As the author of your thoughts, you can make choices as to which ones you’re going to keep and which you’re going to edit out. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Listening to too many negative, made up, or untrue thoughts will never give you a positive outcome in your life. However, by getting in the habit of seeing both sides, and choosing which thoughts are keepers and which are head-trash, is up to you and will change your life.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Humans are full of complex emotions, but it’s what makes us us. We go through good times and tough times and still keep our heads held high. Life is all about experiencing different things and making memories. Constant change and new experiences are what keep us growing as a person. However, sometimes when we face hardship, it can be hard to move on from it.</span><span id="more-53332"/></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s the same case when we’re feeling down and start overthinking. Most of us have experienced this at some point in our lives. You’re dealing with something traumatic, and it leads to you overthinking about a million things. How does one obstacle lead to a total mess full of negative emotions? </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One second, you’re calm, and the next second, you cannot stop panicking over every single detail. That’s what happens when your negative emotions get the best of you. How can you stop this from happening? Here are a few tips that might help keep everything at bay.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The first thing you need to do when you catch yourself overthinking is to give yourself a break. Take a deep breath and identify all the things you’re feeling in that moment. What are the thoughts coming to your head? What are you worried about? What can you do about it?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When we first start getting anxious over a small thing, it can very easily lead to a plethora of negative emotions. These emotions seem so intense that the person experiencing them feels as if they would never be okay again. So, it’s a good idea to identify all your physical and mental symptoms. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can also try writing them down and read them out loud. If you’re feeling anxious and stressed, then you write down what your body is feeling. A lot of times, our brains trick us into thinking that things will never be okay. However, that’s not entirely true; when we go through something traumatic, we start imagining the worst possible scenarios. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For instance, if you pray regularly and you miss one of the prayers, you might spend the next hour stressing over it. You might keep checking your reminders of all the prayer timings to avoid missing the next one. It can lead to a self-destructive cycle. It’s important to remind yourself that you made one mistake, but that does not mean you’ll keep making the same mistake.</span></p>

We face one problem and rejection, and that makes us believe that life will always be like that. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A common example would be getting a rejection letter from your dream college or company; it would make you think that you’ll keep getting rejected. During moments like these, it’s important to be mindful of the present moment. Remind yourself of all the problems you have faced before and that you will get over this as well.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When our bodies can sense danger, we get scared, and that can result in us spiralling. However, if you keep reminding yourself that you’re safe right now, it can be quite helpful. Reminding yourself of your surroundings can help us stay in the present moment and not fall down the hole.</span></p>

We can experience trouble breathing, low blood pressure, and anxiety. When this happens, it can be hard to get yourself out of it. Therefore, you can try moving around and finding a distraction.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The only way you can stop your brain from imagining all the worst possibilities and worrying over everything is by changing your train of thought. The snowball effect of negative thinking is all about getting stuck in a cycle. However, if you find a hobby or distraction, you stop this cycle. You can trick your brain into focusing on something else.</span></p>
<h2><b>4. Keep a Mental Note of All Your Triggers</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When we get anxious or feel bad, most of the time, it happens because something triggered us. We all go through traumatic experiences because it’s a part of life. But sometimes, when we move on, we can still be left with random triggers. </span></p>
