Rebel Wilson has lost a staggering 60 pounds during what the actor has described as her “year of health.” However, it’s not some expensive meal plan or military-style workout that’s allowed the actor to not only shed the weight, but maintain her loss for months. In a March 18 post to her Instagram Stories, Wilson admitted that, despite her self-professed “chocoholic” tendencies, she’s been careful about not overindulging.
Showing off a large chocolate Easter egg to the camera, Wilson says, “Get this s*** away from me. Not only is it chocolate, it’s lemon meringue, my favorite dessert flavor. Oh my god!”

Even when Wilson doesn’t have time to hit the gym, she keeps her body moving. In addition to sharing biking, hiking, and boxing workouts on her Instagram, Wilson has been tackling football-inspired strength exercises and taking regular walks to help keep the pounds off.
In addition to making sugary treats an occasional indulgence instead of a daily snack, Wilson has upped her protein intake to stay satiated throughout the day.
“I’ve really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn’t used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast,” she told People. While Wilson’s diet has become significantly healthier over the course of her weight loss journey, she says she aims for balance, not perfection. The actor has admitted to adopting the mantra, “Nothing is forbidden” to help keep feelings of deprivation at bay when a craving strikes.
“Remember though girls, you still gotta treat yourself 😘 🍰 (I just do it with food now only once or twice a week…and substitute bubble baths on alternate nights),” she explained on Instagram.
